Spes Immunotherapeutics was founded on a profound belief: cancer relapse can become a challenge of the past. Our journey began when co-founder Dr. Ricky Tirtakusuma witnessed firsthand the devastating cycle of relapse in pediatric leukemia patients during his research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Determined to change this harsh reality, he envisioned harnessing the body's own immune system to fight cancer more effectively and sustainably.
Joining forces with entrepreneur Gioele Stoffel, known for translating groundbreaking technologies into impactful ventures, Spes Immunotherapeutics emerged in Barcelona, Spain—a vibrant hub of biotechnology innovation. Together, we built a pioneering approach that combines advanced genomic insights, artificial intelligence, and state-of-the-art delivery technologies to develop personalized vaccines targeting specific cancer markers unique to each patient.
